The Kabale Regional Referral Hospital is stuck with the body of an unidentified woman that was discovered in Buhoro village, Buhara Sub County, of Kabale district.
ASP Elly Maate, the Kigezi region Police spokesperson, alleges that on the 27th of May, 2024, at an unknown time, in Buhoro village, Buhara Sub County, Kabale district, unknown suspects, with malice aforethought, caused the death of a yet-to-be-identified female adult.
He adds that the information about this incident was reported by Ainembabazi Geradin at Rwene Police Post, who alerted the district CID officer in Kabale. Upon notification, the scene was visited and documented by the district CID officer and team, where the dead body, with bruises on the legs, eyes, and arms, was found just a few meters from the Uganda-Rwanda border.
The body of the deceased was retrieved and conveyed to Kabale Regional Referral Hospital for a postmortem.
Maate further revealed that efforts to identify and arrest the suspects are ongoing. He reminded the public that anyone missing a loved one should visit the hospital mortuary to identify the deceased and arrange for a decent burial. He also urged the general public to volunteer any clues that can lead to those responsible for this incident so that the suspects can be brought to justice.
