Kisoro Resident Commits Suicide, Body Discovered Hanging in a tree.

The deceased, identified as Kabonye Girigori, was a resident of Gakware village in Kisoro District.

According to a police statement, it is alleged that on September 30, 2024, at around 12:30 p.m., a local resident named Nyirantungane was passing along the road in Gakware village when she saw Girigori’s body hanging from a tree. The body was still swinging, and Nyirantungane saw the deceased in tree and raised an alarm, attracting whistleblowers who rushed to cut the rope, thinking he might still be alive. Unfortunately, it was too late, as he had already passed away.
