Alumni Inspire Students at Kigezi High School Mentorship Event

The Kigezi High School Old Students’ Association held a transformative two-day mentorship and career guidance session this past weekend, aiming to inspire current students towards success. The event, conducted in the school’s main hall in Northern Division, Kabale Municipality, featured motivational speeches and interactive sessions led by distinguished alumni.

Mr. Alfred Kabucu, Chairperson of the Kigezi High School Old Students’ Association, urged the students to set clear goals and to be imaginative, innovative, and supportive of themselves, their families, and their community. Addressing the gathering on Saturday, Kabucu emphasized the importance of these values in achieving future success.

“As former students, we are here to teach you the fundamentals of life. If you follow these principles, you will become successful in the future,” said Kabucu. He also appealed to parents to guide, support, and love their children to help them prosper and become important members of society.

Hon. Nisiima Ronah Ritah, the former woman Member of Parliament for Kabale District and a member of the mentorship team, reinforced the message of focus and hard work. “We have come to talk with the students, guide them, and help them make critical decisions for their future. Staying focused and working hard in school is key to academic success,” Ritah advised.
