Bishop Akanjuna Urges Candidates to Trust in God Ahead of National Exams

The Bishop of the Diocese of Kigezi, Rt. Rev. Gaddi Akanjuna, has encouraged candidates to remain close to God as they prepare for the forthcoming National Examinations Board exams.

Bishop Akanjuna was speaking today Tuesday during a dedication service held at Hornby High School’s main hall in the Northern Division of Kabale Municipality. The service included candidates of three school from Hornby High School, Junior Rwere Primary and Hornby High School.

He emphasized that this is a crucial time for students to strengthen their relationship with God, reminding them that God knew them even before they were born. He assured them that as they draw near to Him, their dreams would be fulfilled because He is a miracle-working God.

The Bishop urged the candidates to cast their fears and concerns about health to God, describing Him as a caring Father. He further encouraged the students to work hard, behave well, and trust in the Lord for success in their exams. He noted that the students represent the future of both the nation and the Church, and that their hard work will allow them to become responsible leaders who contribute to a better society.

He also cautioned girls against early marriages, reminding them of their crucial role as future mothers of the nation, and urged them to be responsible.

In addition, the Bishop advised the candidates to conduct themselves well during and after the exams, highlighting that good behavior would lead to better results and bring pride to their schools. He encouraged the students to leave a lasting legacy of success in their respective schools through their exam performance.

During the same function, 26 individuals were confirmed into the Anglican faith.
