Founder of Hallelujah Counseling Center, Aunt Enid Advocates for Support for Boy Child on International Boys’ Day

Enid Origumisiriza Atuheire, affectionately known as Aunt Enid and the founder of the Hallelujah Counseling Center and former Kabale District Woman MP Aspirant, has called upon the government to increase efforts in supporting the boy child, emphasizing the need for a more balanced approach to youth empowerment.

Speaking during the celebration of International Boys’ Day at the Hallelujah Day Care Center and Nursery School in Kabahangara cell, Karubanda Ward, Southern Division, Kabale Municipality, Atuheire highlighted the disparity in attention and resources directed towards the girl child, leaving boys lagging behind in terms of support and opportunities.

“We want to call upon the International and County governments to assist in the empowerment of the boy child,” Origumisiriza emphasized. “It is our responsibility as a country to come out and support these children.”

Origumisiriza underscored the importance of nurturing and empowering the boy child, stressing their pivotal role in shaping the future of the nation. She urged for concerted efforts to invest in the holistic development of boys, envisioning a more balanced and equitable society as a result.
