Kigezi High School Alumni Commission Newly Renovated Mariam Dormitory for Girls

In a significant boost to Kigezi High School’s infrastructure, the alumni today commissioned the newly renovated Mariam Dormitory block for girls. The renovation, carried out by Caleb and Brother’s Company Limited, was made possible through the collaborative efforts of both the girls’ and boys’ alumni associations. The project, which cost UGX 50 million, now provides accommodation for 70 girls, significantly enhancing their living conditions.

During the commissioning ceremony, Alfred Kabucu, Chairperson of the Kigezi High School Old Students’ Association, addressed the gathering. He emphasized the importance of using the new dormitory not just for rest but as a foundation for hard work and academic excellence. He encouraged the students to strive for success, reminding them that the comfort provided by the dormitory should translate into better performance and higher achievements.

“We support our former school to ensure it remains among the best-performing schools in the country. Comfortable living conditions should inspire you to perform better,” Kabucu stated. He thanked the alumni for their continuous support and involvement, acknowledging that their contributions play a crucial role in the school’s ongoing success.
