Counsel Elvis Twenda, the Member of Parliament hopeful for Ndorwa East, has appealed to parents to invest in their children’s education, citing the changing landscape of Kabale.
He was today addressing a congregation at Rwesasi Secondary School in Kaharo Sub-County of Kabale district, during a thanksgiving service and fundraiser for the construction of the school’s Shs500 million computer laboratory Twenda noted that the terrain of Kabale is no longer conducive to large-scale farming, which was once the main source of livelihood for many families.
Twenda urged parents to prioritize their children’s education, encouraging them to explore alternative livelihoods beyond farming. He emphasized that education can equip children with the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in various fields, leading to better job opportunities and a more secure future.
