The Kigezi Diocesan Secretary, Rev. Canon Milton Nkurunungi, has called upon Christians to embrace hard work as a means to contribute to the development of their communities. Addressing a congregation at Rwesasi Secondary School in Kaharo Sub-County, Kabale district, during a thanksgiving service and fundraiser for the construction of the school’s Shs. 500 million computer laboratory, Rev. Canon Nkurunungi emphasized the importance of dedication and selflessness.
Representing Bishop Gaddie Akanjuna as the main celebrant at the event, Rev. Canon Nkurunungi encouraged the attendees to take an active role in the development of their families and communities. “Hard work and dedication are essential for the progress of our communities,” he stated. He also urged the congregation to be good stewards of their resources, using them not only for personal benefit but also to help those around them.

The event was a resounding success, with over SHS. 50 million collected in cash and pledges and 66 bags of cement towards the construction of the computer laboratory. This new facility is expected to significantly enhance the educational resources available to the students of Rwesasi Secondary School, paving the way for a brighter future.
