Rugarama Father’s House Celebrates 21 Graduates After 13 Years of Support

The Very Rev. Can. Obed Turihohabwe, the Dean of St. Peter’s Cathedral in Rugarama, has urged the 21 graduates of Rugarama Father’s House to always remember the people who supported them during their time in school.

 He spoke this today as the beneficiaries of Rugarama Father’s House, under the Diocese of Kigezi, were graduating after completing 13 years of support provided by the church in partnership with Go Africa.

The ceremony was held at Rugarama Father’s House in Rwere Village, Muyaje Parish, Bubaare Sub-County, Rubanda District.

Rev. Obed, while preaching to the graduates, emphasized the importance of remembering and giving glory to God for the people who have helped them along the way.

He highlighted that whether it was their teachers, parents, or the Rugarama Father’s House, the support and guidance they received played a crucial role in their success.

The Dean stressed that by acknowledging those who have invested in their education, the graduates would not only Honor their benefactors but also inspire others to follow in their footsteps.

“Your success is a testament to the power of community and the transformative impact of education. Always remember to give glory to God and acknowledge those who have invested in your future,” Rev. Obed said, stressing that such recognition not only honors their benefactors but also inspires others to contribute to educational support.

The co-coordinator of Rugarama Father’s House, Mrs. Ketty Akapurara, stated that the 21 beneficiaries, who have been supported by the church for their education, are graduating after spending 13 years with the church. She added that the church has been instrumental in assisting these beneficiaries in acquiring their education.
