The Bishop of the Diocese of Kigezi, Rt. Rev. Gaddie Akanjuna, has called for a renewed spirit of teamwork in the development of Kigezi High School. Speaking at the conclusion of a two-day induction and inauguration of the school’s Board of Governors, Bishop Akanjuna emphasized the importance of self-sacrifice and dedication from the board members to restore the school’s former glory and address its current challenges.
“Teamwork will help to develop the school, bring back its glory, and solve the challenges that would bring the school down,” said Bishop Akanjuna. He urged the board members to keep the school in their minds and hearts, no matter where they are.

Drake Mutahakana, the Diocese of Kigezi’s Education Coordinator, echoed the bishop’s sentiments, stressing the need for improved academic performance. “Good academic performance should always be used as a reference,” Mutahakana remarked.

Maurice Alex Muhwezi Murari, the newly appointed Chairman of the Board of Governors, encouraged the board members to execute their duties with dedication and to the best of their abilities for the betterment of the school.

The new board, set to serve for a three-year term, includes:, Maurice Alex Muhwezi Murari as Chairman, Rev. Can. Reuben Byomuhangi as Vice Chairman and Board Members are Aggrey Yesigomwe, Johnson Tumukunde, Kedress Mutabazi, Patience Kyogaba, Dr. Moses Agaba, Judith Kemigisha Muhunde, Godson Mfitumukiza, Kiconco Patrick Katabazi, Godwin Kakama, and Sabiiti Spencer Oyes.
As Kigezi High School looks forward to a new chapter under this dynamic leadership, the community remains hopeful that these collaborative efforts will yield significant improvements in both the academic and infrastructural aspects of the institution.
