Senior lawyer Dr. Akampumuza James Rutanga has called on Christians to remain united and work diligently in support of church development projects, such as aiding the needy and constructing places of worship. His message came during a weekend fundraising event for the construction of St. Joseph’s Kaharo Catholic Church in Bukinda Parish, Kaharo Sub-County, Ndorwa East, Kabale District.
Dr. Akampumuza, who is also a hopeful candidate for the Ndorwa East Parliamentary seat for 2026-2031, expressed his gratitude to church leaders for their collaborative efforts with the congregation in building for the glory of God. The construction of the church is already underway, and he emphasized the importance of continued support for such initiatives.
Out of the over 278 million shillings needed to complete the church, Dr. Akampumuza contributed over 4 million shillings and pledged ongoing financial support until the project is completed.
