Construction of New St. Andrew’s Parish Church Nyabikoni Officially Launched

The Archdeacon of All Saints Church Archdeaconry, Ven. Namanya Emmanuel Bwagye, today officially launched the construction of the new St. Andrews Church of Uganda Parish in Nyabikoni Ward, Central Division, Kabale Municipality.

The ambitious project, estimated at a total cost of 2.8 billion Ugandan shillings, is set to redefine the spiritual landscape of the region.

During the launch ceremony, Ven. Namanya urged Christians to work collectively to ensure the successful completion of the church. He emphasized the critical role of unity, transparency, and accountability in managing the project’s resources.

“Transparency and accountability build trust among Christians and ensure the project is completed with integrity,” Ven. Namanya said, adding that keeping God at the center of all efforts would guarantee the project’s success.

Eng. Peter Nkurunungi, the CEO of Geses Uganda and the lead contractor for the project, outlined the phased construction plan.

The first phase, which will involve the slab level, is budgeted at 540 million Ugandan shillings and is expected to take up to six months.

Eng. Nkurunungi expressed confidence in the team and called upon all stakeholders to support the initiative through prayer and contributions.

This launch marks a significant milestone for the Christian community in Nyabikoni Ward, promising a new place of worship that will serve as a beacon of faith and development in Kabale Municipality.
