Hornby High School Old Girls’, in partnership with the school’s administration, have initiated the construction of waterborne toilets to enhance sanitation and hygiene practices at Hornby High School.
The announcement was made today during a thanksgiving function held on the school’s premises, where both current students and alumni gathered to celebrate the school’s progress.
Patience Asimwe, a representative of the Old Girls’ association, emphasized the importance of good sanitation for the health and well-being of the students. She highlighted that girls are particularly vulnerable due to poor sanitation and stated that their goal is to provide better facilities to prevent health issues like UTIs, which are prevalent among young girls.
