Kabale District Emphasizes Patriotism Training in Schools to Foster Discipline and National Pride

Kabale’s Resident District Commissioner, Godfrey Nyakahuma, has urged all schools in Kabale district to always participate in patriotism trainings as they help students to maintain good discipline and thus reduce strikes in schools.

Nyakahuma made this appeal today while speaking as the guest of honour at the opening of a one-week patriotism training session for teachers and students at Kigezi High School Senior Northern Division, Kabale Municipality. He highlighted that such training will teach students and teachers good discipline and appropriate ways of living in society, which he described as the core of patriotism.

He has called upon the students and teachers of Kigezi High School to take advantage of this opportunity and participate in the training, emphasizing that it will be of great importance in the future.

He stated that this training will sharpen students’ mindsets, fostering self-love, patriotism, and a willingness to sacrifice for their country.

He added that it will also help them appreciate Uganda’s abundant natural resources, which can be harnessed for the economic development of the country.
