Kabale District Woman MP Hopeful Grace Bekunda Advocates Against Drug Abuse Among Youth

Ankunda Grace Bekunda, the hopeful Woman Member of Parliament for Kabale District has emphasized the importance of avoiding drug abuse among young people.

She delivered this message while officiating at the opening of a football match between Katuna Town Council vs Kamuganguzi sub county which was held at the Janan Lumum Memorial Secondary School Playground in Kamuganguzi, Ndorwa West, Kabale District.

In her speech, Hon. Grace Bekunda urged the youth to steer clear of alcohol, marijuana, and other harmful substances.

She stressed that indulging in these behaviours would not lead to success or a bright future. Instead, she encouraged the younger generation to practice self-love and seek advice from their parents and elders, who can provide valuable guidance and knowledge.

“Respecting parents,” Grace Bekunda said, “is a sign of gaining knowledge and wisdom.” By listening to the experiences and insights of older individuals, young people can learn from their mistakes and successes, and make informed decisions that will help them achieve their goals.
