Kabale High Court Judge, Justice Samuel Emokor, has called upon the administrators of Kabale University’s newly launched Law Faculty to build a solid foundation to ensure it becomes a cornerstone of legal education in the Kigezi region and Uganda at large. His remarks came during a ceremony at the White Horse Inn, where he spoke as the guest of honour.
Justice Emokor stressed the importance of maintaining quality and integrity in the law faculty’s development. He reminded the administrators that their work will ultimately be judged by the performance of their graduates in the legal field. “Ensure that everything you build reflects quality and integrity. There will come a time when what you are building will be tested, as your graduates will appear in our offices and the training you have provided will be scrutinized,” he said. He also emphasized the need to employ lecturers with practical skills and experience.
