The Kigezi Diocesan Secretary, Rev. Canon Milton Nkurunungi, has called upon the residents of Kabale Municipality to prioritize cleanliness as the town prepares for its anticipated future city status.
Rev. Canon Milton made this appeal today at Kigezi High School Primary playground, addressing students and staff from Kikungiri Primary School, Junction Primary School, and Kigezi High School Primary. The gathering followed a town-wide cleaning effort and charity activities carried out by the Boys’ and Girls’ Brigade to raise funds for their initiatives.
Representing the Bishop of the Diocese of Kigezi, Rt. Rev. Gaddie Akanjuna, Rev. Canon Milton emphasized the significance of proper garbage collection and disposal in maintaining a clean environment for the future city. He highlighted the Diocese’s continuous efforts to promote personal hygiene and sanitation among families in the region.
“Effective garbage collection and disposal are essential as we look forward to our town’s future city status,” said Rev. Canon Milton. “We must all contribute to maintaining a clean and healthy environment.”
