The State Minister for Finance in charge of General Duties, Hon. Henry Musasizi Ariganyira, has fulfilled his pledge of 313 galvanized iron sheets to Muko Archdeaconry. The donation was delivered on Friday, December 27th, during a thanksgiving and birthday celebration for Venerable Ernest Nkwasibwe, who marked his 60th birthday at Muko Archdeaconry.
The iron sheets, intended to roof the under-construction archdeaconry, were handed over by Rubanda District LC5 Chairperson, Mr. Ampeire Stephen Kasyaba, who represented Minister Musasizi at the event.
Chairman Kasyaba, speaking as the guest of honor, commended Minister Musasizi for his generous contribution, which covers half of the 600 iron sheets required for the project. He reiterated the minister’s commitment to supporting church initiatives, attributing the success of such donations to their strong collaboration.
Chairman Kasyaba also used the occasion to caution against political divisionism, urging residents of Rubanda East and West to maintain unity despite electoral differences. “Why should people who live together and share common goals allow politics to divide them?” he asked.
He further condemned identity-based politics, calling it detrimental to development. “Leaders serve everyone, regardless of tribe, religion, or origin,” he emphasized, urging Christians to reject divisive politics.
Venerable Ernest Nkwasibwe expressed gratitude to Minister Musasizi for fulfilling his pledge and praised Chairman Kasyaba for his balanced approach to development across Rubanda. He noted that the donation was a timely boost to the archdeaconry’s construction efforts.
Friday Rwamahe, a synod member in the Diocese of Kigezi, urged Christians to support Chairman Kasyaba and Minister Musasizi, highlighting their developmental achievements in the district.
As the archdeaconry progresses toward completion, this collaboration underscores the importance of unity and shared responsibility in community development.
