Ndorwa West MP Hopeful Dr. Hilary Mbona Pays Tribute to the Enduring Legacy of Rev. Canon Elinathan Aryeija

During the requiem service for the late Rev. Can. Elinathan Aryeija in Butuunza, Kakoma, Katuna Town Council, Ndorwa West Constituency, Dr. Hilary Bakamwesiga Mbona, a hopeful candidate for Parliament in Ndorwa West, passionately called upon the public to prioritize planting perennial crops as the rainy season approaches, emphasizing their crucial role in preventing landslides.

Dr. Hilary underscored the significance of this initiative, particularly in regions like Kigezi, where heavy rains pose a threat to both crops and infrastructure. By planting trees, he emphasized, communities can mitigate the risk of landslides, safeguarding lives and property.

In addition to addressing environmental concerns, Dr. Hilary urged mourners to embrace love and unity, highlighting the transient nature of life and the importance of cherishing each moment in peace with others. He paid tribute to the late Mzee Aryeija, lauding his exemplary character and encouraging others to follow his lead in making positive contributions to society.

Concerned about community safety, Dr. Hilary urged vigilance, advising individuals to either return home early or move in groups to deter criminal activity. Furthermore, he raised awareness about the spread of red-eye disease in schools, urging parents, school administrators, and students to adhere to health protocols to prevent its transmission to Kigezi.

As the community mourned the loss of Rev. Can. Elinathan Aryeija, whose legacy will endure through his extensive family, Dr. Hilary’s impassioned plea served as a rallying cry for collective action, unity, and resilience in the face of challenges. In honoring the memory of the departed, the community finds strength in solidarity and commitment to a brighter, safer future.
