In a gesture aimed at enhancing educational outcomes, the NiCA Foundation, in collaboration with partners from the Netherlands, extended donations of scholastic materials to Kabirago Primary School in Rubaya Sub County, Kabale District.
The event, attended by local leaders, educators, and community members, underscored the vital role of partnerships in supporting schools. Head Teacher Alexander Byamukama expressed gratitude to the NiCA Foundation and emphasized the challenges faced by many parents, including financial hardships and resource constraints.
“These donations of exercise books, mathematical sets, pens, pencils, soap, and sanitary pads are invaluable,” Byamukama remarked. “They not only support academic performance but also foster hygiene among girls, ensuring their dignity and well-being.”
Byamukama called for continued collaboration between NGOs and educational institutions, urging local businesses, community leaders, and government agencies to join efforts in advancing educational opportunities in underserved areas.

Noah Mubangizi, a board member of the NiCA Foundation, advocated for a shift towards vocational education after Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE). “Many youth face unemployment because we emphasize academic degrees over practical skills,” Mubangizi noted. “Vocational training equips students with skills that meet market demands.”
