Ampeire Stephen Kasyaba the Rubanda District LC5 Chairperson demonstrated his dedication to the community today as he joined the Batwa people in paying tribute to the late Maruhe Edward, a respected elder of 90 years, during his burial in Rwamahano Village, Ikamiro Parish, Muko sub-county.
In his address, Kasyaba emphasized the importance of spiritual development and encouraged the Batwa community to embrace the transformative step of baptism. Highlighting the role of the church in fostering spiritual growth, he urged community members to make the most of available government and NGO programs, which offer pathways to improve their livelihoods.

They noted that previous leaders only engaged with the Batwa during election periods, often neglecting them afterward. Kasyaba’s approach, however, has been consistent and genuinely community-focused.
