Rubanda District local government officials, led by District LC5 Chairperson Ampeire Steven Kasyaba, have today verified six outstanding students for the district’s Quota Admission Scheme for the 2024/2025 academic year. These students, who excelled in last year’s UACE Exams, hail from various schools within Rubanda District.
The verified students include Twikirize Betty and Ayebare Betty from St. Agatha Girls Secondary School Kakore, Niwatwine Anitah and Arinda Pamella from Muko High School, Kato Dismus from Bufundi College, and Tumwebaze Honest from Bubare Secondary School.
Addressing the students and their headteachers at the district headquaters, Chairperson Ampeire Steven Kasyaba urged the students to value the support and opportunities provided by their parents. He cautioned them against succumbing to societal pressures and the allure of exploitative relationships, emphasizing that focusing on education and academic qualifications should be their primary pursuit.
CUE IN………KASYABA ON STUDENTS
Kasyaba attributed the students’ exceptional performance to the collaborative efforts between headteachers, the district’s political team, and its technical staff. He expressed a commitment to advocating for an increase in the number of students admitted under the quota system, aiming for an expansion to include 10 to 15 students per district.
