Rukiga’s Woman MP, Kamusime Warns Against Charging Government Programs Beneficiaries

The Rukiga District Woman Member of Parliament, Hon. Caroline Kamusime Muhwezi, has warned parish development model focal people to avoid charging fees to beneficiaries on government programs.

She made these remarks on Friday at the event of the Office of the National Chairman wealth creation held at Kantare Playground in the Rukiga District. Kamusime emphasized that these initiatives, including the Parish Development Model (PDM), are designed to benefit all citizens, not just those who can afford to pay.

She stressed that PDM is a program initiated by President Museveni, aimed at uplifting the lives of the people in the Rukiga District citing that charging fees for these programs undermines their purpose and goes against the principles of equality and social justice.

Hon. Kamusime who also doubles as the Rukiga district NRM Vice Chairperson emphasized the importance of avoiding sectarianism in politics. She encouraged the community to support the National Resistance Movement (NRM) Party, stating that it is bigger and more enduring than any individual.

Kamusime reminded the people of Rukiga that the NRM Party has a long-standing history and a proven track record of success. She urged them to put aside their differences and unite behind the party, which she believes will provide a stronger foundation for their district and the nation.
