Worse and Best Performing Members of Parliament from the Kigezi Sub-Region Listed #plenary

As the political landscape of Uganda gears up for the 2025 NRM primary elections and the subsequent 2026 general elections, the spotlight falls on the parliamentary performance of the nation’s representatives. Amidst the release of the latest plenary performance list spanning June 2023 to April 2024, encompassing all 585 Members of Parliament. Notably, none of the Kigezi MPs fall among the 33 who scored a zero, marking a commendable achievement for the region.

While some theories suggest that MPs excel in committees but falter in plenary sessions, the reasons behind this phenomenon remain a subject of debate. Nonetheless, the focus shifts to recognizing the standout performers from Kigezi Sub Region, both the best and the underachievers, in this presentation.

Plenary sessions, the cornerstone of parliamentary proceedings, see all MPs convene in the Chamber of Parliament under the guidance of the Speaker or Deputy Speaker.
