The Bishop of the Diocese of Kigezi, Rt Rev Gaddie Akanjuna has called on Christians to turn away from the temptations of the flesh and instead seek refuge in the teachings of Jesus Christ.
He made this call today while presiding over the confirmation service of 89 Christians into Anglican church faith at St. Paul’s Nangara Church of Uganda parish in Nyamweru Sub-county,
Bishop Akanjuna emphasized the importance of resisting bodily lusts and worldly pleasures, which he said can lead one astray from the path of righteousness.
He warned Christians against engaging in immoral acts such as fornication and homosexuality. He emphasized that these behaviors are contrary to the teachings of the Christian faith and urged the faithful to resist the temptations of the flesh.
implore all Christians in this diocese to shun away from such sinful practices and instead draw closer to the Lord for their salvation.

In his sermon delivered from Galatians 5:16, he stated that as a Christian they have to walk by the Spirit, and not to gratify the desires of the flesh. Echoing the teachings of the Bible, he called on believers to prioritize their spiritual well-being over the pursuit of temporary pleasures.
Furthermore, the bishop highlighted on the importance of forgiveness, calling on the Christians to let go of any negative feelings towards their enemies and embrace a spirit of reconciliation. He asked them to stay true to their Christian values and resist the allure of earthly desires that may make their lives with their fellows hard.
