The Bishop of the Diocese of Kigezi, Rt Rev Gaddie Akanjuna, has called on Christians across the diocese to break free from the bondage of sin and seek refuge in Jesus Christ to inherit the Kingdom of God.

He made this call today while officiating the confirmation service at Kagarama Church of Uganda parish under Bubare archdeaconry in Hamuhambo Town Council of Rubanda District. Bishop Akanjuna expressed concern over the prevalence of sin and moral decay within the Christian community. He warned that continuing in a life of sin would ultimately lead to eternal separation from God, reminding them that the wages of sin are death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Bishop Akanjuna urged the Christians to turn away from their transgressions and surrender their lives fully to Jesus Christ, the only source of true salvation and redemption. He emphasized that through genuine repentance and faith in Christ, believers can experience the transformative power of God’s grace and be set free from the bondage of sin.

Furthermore, he urged the Christians to resist the temptations of worldly pleasures and instead find their salvation in Jesus Christ alone. He reminded them that true fulfillment and eternal life can only be found through a steadfast commitment to Christ.
