Samuel A Bakutana the founder and chief executive officer of inspired leaders international urged the girls and boys to put into practice the messages they received from the various preachers since the 2nd Diocesan Youth Convention began.

He said this today while preaching at the closure of the four-day Youth and Students Convention that attracted over 4000 youths across the diocese, held at St. Peter’s Cathedral Rugarama Hill Gardens

Bakutana said that youth have spent the last four days listening to God’s word from different preachers. Now it is time for them to go back to their communities and be an example of what you have learnt.

He expressed his hope that the youth would use the teachings from the convention to positively impact their families, schools, and neighbourhoods.

Bakutana challenged Youth to be models of faith, integrity, and service in whatever they are doing. He requested the young youth to show the communities the transformative power of the messages they have received from the 2nd Diocesan Youth Convention which has lasted four days.

According to Rev. Robertson Agaba Peter, a youth worker in the diocese of Kigezi said that the Diocese of Kigezi last held the youth convention in 2019 and other years were affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, which forced the diocese to cancel the event.

Rev. Agaba announced that the Diocese will be hosting it annually and encouraging youth to always attend the upcoming event.
