In a bid to ignite societal transformation, the youth and students of Kigezi Diocese have been rallied by Rt. Rev. Gaddie Akanjuna, the Bishop of the Diocese of Kigezi, to embrace their role as agents of change. Speaking at the closure of the four-day 2nd youth and student’s conference held at the diocesan grounds at Rugarama Hill, Bishop Gaddie emphasized the pivotal role of the younger generation in shaping the future of their communities.
“Become the salt of the earth,” urged Bishop Gaddie, underscoring the significance of youth in catalyzing positive change. He emphasized that the youth are endowed with abundant resources essential for driving the much-needed transformation within their societies.

Echoing Bishop Gaddie’s sentiments, Rev. Robertson Peter Agaba, the overseer of students and youth ministry in the Diocese of Kigezi, highlighted the core objective of the convention: to ensure comprehensive spiritual and personal transformation among the youth.
“We organized this convention to preach to every youth and facilitate their holistic transformation,” remarked Rev. Agaba, emphasizing the importance of nurturing well-rounded individuals.
